The Easter weekend marks one of my regular visits to the Santa Pod drag strip which produces many varied photo opportunities. I thought I would take the apo with me to see if it would produce anything of use photographically. As events sometimes run into darkness I was impressed just how well the scope performed at low light levels which allowed me to get some interesting shots of goings on at the start line in the dark. Considering that I was at the finish line a quarter of a mile distant the results were pleasingly detailed and atmospheric in some cases....Now back to the quieter realms of astronomy and more cloudy skies!
