After imaging NGC 5585 the following evening also looked clear enough to attempt something although the transparency was varying considerably as I went for NGC 5676 and it took over 3 hours to accumulate a dozen useable subs. At least any effect from the moon was minimal compared to the previous evening. Spiral galaxy NGC 5676 is mag 12.3 in Bootes and is noted for an unusually intense area of star formation in one of its arms. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 12x 8minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, FIV, CS2 & XAT.
