The Orion Nebula (M42) is so relatively bright that even the MK sky can't suppress its spectacular appearance. My first digital attempt at it is quite pleasing though getting this image has involved a fair bit of playing in Photoshop. I've added a bit of variety in the colour balance which would otherwise have looked a bit flat. I look forward to trying some longer exposures on it.
