With a clear sky forecast I hoped to get a set of subs for this small reflection nebula in Cepheus before the moon rose too high. Unfortunately lingering patches of cloud prevented me from doing much while the sky was darker so by the time the clarity was uninterrupted the moon was washing things out. Transparency was quite good though. Good images of this subject show some small flecks of quite bright Ha emission which might be reachable under better conditions so definitely worth another attempt. The edge of open cluster NGC 7142 is just showing at top left. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 18x 5 minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, CS2 & XAT.
