Sharpless2-155

The next potentially clear evening was awash with annoying contrail residue that seemed reluctant to clear. Although conditions weren't good I decided to attempt Sharpless2-155 which is another of the targets to be found in Cepheus. It is referred to as The Cave Nebula. The transparency remained quite poor and the resulting stack of exposures looked as though it wouldn't produce much of an image. Although it took several attempts I eventually produced something satisfying enough to post. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 20x 7minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, CS2 & XAT.
