What started as a reasonably good sky soon started to deteriorate after I started imaging this galaxy. The transparency became very poor and of the 10 subs I obtained most were heavily "pinked". Just as it looked that conditions might improve cloud moved in and finished the session. (It was more disappointing because the guiding was working better than normal). Much processing required to produce an image worth posting. NGC 4244 is in Canes Venatici and is part of the M 94 group. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 10x 8minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, CS2 & XAT.
