M45 surprise

Capturing any more than a hint of the nebulosity surrounding The Pleiades (M45) seemed a hopeless task under the MK sky using film. It was therefore a complete surprise to see so much of it on my first digital attempt. When using a 35mm SLR it was possible to capture a fair bit more of the group so this image made me realise how much smaller the sensor of the 450D is even though it has been cropped a bit....Details: 25/11/08. 10" f4.3 Newt. 450D@iso400. 10x 150second exposures (images only) in Deep Sky Stacker & CS2.
