Very close to M 99 are this attractive pair of NGCs. I spent a whole session imaging the couple but the poor transparency on that particular evening wasn't conducive to a decent result so I waited for a better opportunity to make another attempt at them. Two nights later the conditions were much improved. In Coma Berenices the contrasting pair are NGC 4302 (left) & NGC 4298 (right). The faint galaxy upper left is PGC 40066. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 15 x 10 minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, FIV, CS2 & XAT.
