Although conditions were compromised by a bright moon it was impossible not to try for something after waiting so long for a decent clear spell. With Cygnus well placed I decided on the well known dust pillar (part of IC5067) in the Pelican Nebula. I tried some shorter exposures at higher iso to get a larger number of subs which seemed a better strategy given the bright moon. Under the conditions it is a satisfying result though I feel the detail might be improved with another attempt at processing. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 18x 5 minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, CS2 & XAT.
