Another clear(ish) evening made me decide to attempt the Cone Nebula in Monoceros before it was past the meridian where the guiding becomes less reliable. Unfortunately the transparency was quite poor to expect much of a result with such a relatively faint target. I managed to get 7 subs taken before the sky became far worse and I had to abandon the session. To get a usable result meant pushing the processing rather more than desired. A sub is shown for comparison. Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 7x 8minute exposures @ iso800 with CLS in DSS, CS2, Photobrush & XAT.
