At the first opportunity I thought I would continue experimenting with the Baader corrector on the apo. Increasing the distance between the corrector and the camera seems the way to go but finding the optimum looks as though a dedicated adaptor will need to be engineered. For this session I decided to take a closer look at NGC 6940 which is the open cluster that showed up well on my wide field shots of Cygnus posted on 16/8/09. As with many clusters the closer you get the less obvious they are and this one seems a typical example. It was a good test for my corrector experiments though. Details: WO Megrez 88 + Baader MPCC. 7x 4 minute exposures @ iso800 with CLS in DSS & CS2.
