A Tulip & Black Hole

Another clear evening provided the opportunity to have a go at the patch of nebulosity surrounding HD 189688 in Cygnus (often referred to as The Tulip Nebula). Although considerably fainter it has a fleeting resemblance to M.42 in Orion. This lies very close to the famous X-ray source Cygnus X-1 which is accepted as being the first good evidence of a black hole. Details: 10" F 4.3 Newtonian. 8x 7 minute exposures @ iso800 with CLS in DSS & CS2.
